I’m one of the vast majority of Canadians hoping our southern neighbour replaces its national leader next November.
With horror I saw that Catholic leaders in that country had chosen to “single issue” the election, a blind and dangerous choice, and then to endorse the sitting president on the basis of this one issue.

The second question is to what extent will the Catholic voter, the Catholic woman, follow these bishops, and relegate their own reasoning to a back seat? It is “Father knows best,” taken to extremes.
For modern Catholics there are four disastrously mistaken teachings: No birth control, no abortion, no same-sex marriage, no stem-cell research. Not one of them is theologically sound. Attitudes toward women and sex comprise the official Church’s Achilles heel. Continue Reading >HERE<
