Author Ann Douglas, left, interviewed more than 75 parents and other experts for her book "Happy Parents Happy Kids." CLIFFORD SKARSTEDT/EXAMINER
Ann Douglas, the nationally acclaimed writer from Peterborough whose 32 books have sold more than half a million copies, wisely followed her intuition when, after the birth of her first child, it urged her to write, and to write on the closest experience in her life: parenting.
That decision has led to a full and productive life of experiencing, thinking, writing and publishing on the universal topic of being a parent. Today, Ann, in her 50s, having raised four kids, who are now 21 to 30 years old, is about to launch her latest book called "Happy Parents, Happy Kids," in February, to be published by HarperCollins Canada.
Chapter titles include Parenting in an Age of Anxiety, Work-Life Imbalance, The Why of Distracted Parenting, How to Boost Your Enjoyment of Parenting, The Guilt-Free Guide to Healthier Living and Finding Your Village.
Her new book is based on in-depth interviews with more than 75 Canadian parents and other experts, and offers a series of parent-proven solutions, which can be tackled at the individual, family and community levels. Continue Reading >Here<
